Ultra Rare Guitars Discovered In Basement

A collection of twelve extremely rare Supersound guitars have been discovered in a basement in Cheltenham.
The guitars, designed by British luthier Jim Burns between 1958 and 1959, lay forgotten for 50 years before collector Guy Mackenzie was tipped off by a friend about their existence.
The rare axes, fans of which include Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs and Oasis' Andy Bell, are believed to be in good condition.
Commenting on the find, guitar expert Paul Day said: "In nearly 50 years of playing, working on and writing about the electric guitar, this is the first time I have actually seen one Supersound instrument, let alone 12. These are among the earliest electric guitars and basses from any British builder and therefore comprise an important, but hitherto virtually unknown chapter in UK guitar-making history."
