Unboxing
As you can see G&L/the J-man (as we're sure he'd like to be called) has kept things pretty simple.

The new G&L Tribute Jerry Cantrell Rampage signature guitar just arrived at the TG offices, so we thought you might appreciate a sneaky first look.

The strat-style model is a lower-spec reproduction of G&L's original Rampage model that has been put together for Alice In Chains fans that don't work in high-finance, or regularly claim second homes on expenses.

The body
This is a black guitar. There will also be an ivory model. The pickup is G&L's own custom-wound Jerry Cantrell Alnico V humbucker.

The bridge
The vibrato is a Kahler 4300 X-Trem. Here's a picture of it looking dusty.

The headstock
Notice the 'black chrome' tuning pegs and hardware. It's also got JC's rather fetching scrawl on the headstock.

Wailing on it...
Here's Jerry Cantrell wailing on it. OK, it's Stu, our reviews editor, but the wailing is still happening.

Shiny, ain't it?
One of the advantages of the black model is that you can check your hair in it, which is good for those last minute touch-ups.
