Two fans from Houston are campaigning to get a commemorative Dimebag statue erected in late guitar legend's hometown.

Two fans from Houston are campaigning to get a commemorative Dimebag statue erected in late guitar legend's hometown.


According to Revolver magazine the fans — Joey Riordan from Houston and the oddly named Mangra from Toronto - cite existing monuments to Jimi Hendrix (in Seattle), Elvis (in Memphis), and Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott (Dublin) as inspiration.


"Getting Dimebag Darrell a statue in Dallas matters," says Riordan. "His memory will live on."
