In a bold move that clearly shows the high regard the Cape Breton International Drum Festival holds in the world drumming community, early commitment from many of the worlds’ finest performers has enabled the directors to confirm a stellar line up at such an early date."    “10 years is a big mile stone” adds Director Ryan MacArthur. “So many drummers and percussionists wanted to be here, and we have an amazing line up and people will be very happy to see past favourites such as Bernard “Pretty” Purdie  and Pete Lockett return”. MacArthur also added “New York session giant Billy Ward, who was at the first and fifth years, is back to share the historic tenth year celebration, we couldn’t imagine doing it without him”.    In addition Legends Awards will be presented to Carmine Appice, Alan White, Jerry Mercer, Roxy Petrucci & Virgil Donati for their major contribution to drumming and to education
