Turn your MacBook into a tablet computer

Axiotron does what Apple hasn't
Apple might not have released a tablet computer yet, but Axiotron is now offering MacBook owners the chance to have their laptop turned into one with its Modservice.
The company has been selling the Modbook – a tablet version of the MacBook – for a while now, but this retrofitting service is new. Axiotron says that it will convert most white Core 2 Duo-based MacBooks, though not the new aluminium ones. The work will be done on a first come, first served basis and begin in late November.
"Customers have been requesting a program like our Modservice," said Andreas E. Haas, Axiotron's CEO. "There is something intrinsically appealing about the idea of taking your computer and turning it into a new and exciting product like the Modbook."
Once your MacBook has been converted, you'll be able to control it with a pen rather than a keyboard and mouse. This could make using music-making applications a whole lot more intuitive.
For more information on the Modservice, check out the Axiotron website. Prices start at $1299.
