SPL to release Transient Designer plug-in

EQs also part of Analog Code line

SPL is a German hardware company with an enviable reputation, and its now getting into the native plug-in market.

Of the first wave of releases, the most eye-catching is the Transient Designer – a software version of one of SPL's most famous hardware units. There are also three EQs – Vox Ranger, Bass Ranger and Full Ranger – which replicate those from the company's RackPack.

Discussing the launches, SPL CEO Hermann Gier has this to say: "We always knew that our analogue designs had big potential in the digital domain. Our greatest advantage is that we have developed some of the industry's most iconic products. Latest methods for the high-precision modelling of their circuit designs give us results beyond pure mathematical approaches."

The new plug-ins will be released under the Analog Code brand and be available in RTAS, VST and AU formats for Mac and PC. Further details are set to be revealed later this week when SPL exhibits at the 125th AES Convention in San Francisco.
