The pocket-sized device has been revamped
The updated version of M-Audio's popular MicroTrack digital recorder is now shipping.
MicroTrack II arrives with several improvements in place, including an extended input gain range, an analogue input limiter, 48V phantom power and headphone monitoring of the S/PDIF signal.
Like its predecessor, MicroTrack II is a 2-channel, 24-bit/96kHz portable recorder that can store data via CompactFlash and Microdrives. WAV and MP3 formats are supported, and files can be transferred to your Mac or PC over USB 2.0 (transfer times are apparently quicker than before).
A variety of inputs and outputs is onboard, as is a built-in microphone.
MicroTrack II costs $400/£229. Further spec details can be found at the M-Audio website.
