And Universal says Shady isn't suing
It seems that when Eminem does finally release Relapse, his long-awaited new album, he'll set off a chain reaction in the hip-hop world.
It had already been confirmed that Dr Dre's Detox has been delayed because the producer is busy finishing Em's record, and now 50 Cent has revealed that his new album Before I Self Destruct will be released "sometime after Eminem's Relapse comes out".
When this will be still isn't clear, though it has been speculated that Relapse could hit as early as next month.
In related news, Universal Music has moved to quash rumours that Eminem is suing them, claiming that he's not behind the lawsuit being brought against them by FBT Productions. This alleges that the company has underpaid royalties from download sales.
MTV reports that a statement from Universal says: "Eminem is not a party to this suit in any way, nor is his publishing company; in fact, we enjoy a very close, creative and productive relationship with him."
