Watch U2 gig live on YouTube

Pasadena show to be streamed live this Sunday

U2 have announced that their gig at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on Sunday will be streamed live on YouTube.

The show, which will be the band's penultimate live date of the year, will be available to viewers in 16 countries.

Commenting on the move, U2 manager Paul McGuinness said: "The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time. As we're filming the LA show, it's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium. Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 - this time U2 can go to them, globally."

It's being reported that this is the first time a show of the size will be streamed on YouTube. Following the live broadcast, it'll be available on-demand as a standard YouTube video and also on U2's website.

A promo clip for the show is below. To watch the main event, go to youtube.com/U2 on Sunday 25 August at 8:30pm (Pacific Time).
