A classic comes back
Gretsch celebrates its 125th anniversary by reissuing a classic with some very modern touches.
Let's face it: you could be dressed in Bermuda shorts and still look cool holding this guitar. The Gretsch G6128TDS-R Duo Jet solidbody electric guitar combines vintage vibe with some great modern components. The limited G6128TDS-R pairs a late Fifties-style chambered mahogany body with a three-ply maple top, while its mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Two Seymour Duncan DynaSonic single-coil pickups are also featured onboard the extra-limited G6128TDS-R Duo Jet.
The gracefully "Relic-ed" nitrocellulose lacquer finish and hardware radiate the spirit of a well-cared-for Gretsch guitar that could be 60 years old, but certainly saw its day on countless bandstands and Hollywood showcase nightclubs.
As precious as the originals, a limited edition of only 75 of these guitars will be produced worldwide. So if it's coolness and great vintage sound you want, don't wait. U.S. list price $6,500.00.
