Midge Ure re-groups for 2009 tour
Vienna-loving synth-poppers Ultravox have been doing the rounds – in one incarnation or another – since 1976. Now, the 'classic' line-up is reuniting for the first time since their 1985 Live Aid performance.
Warren Cann (drums), Chris Cross (bass), Billy Currie (Keys) and Midge Ure (vox and guitar) embark on a 14-date tour of the UK, kicking off at the Edinburgh Playhouse on 10 April 2009. So called the 'classic' line-up for chalking-up the band's most successful hits in the early 1980s.
Midge Ure replaced original frontman John Foxx in 1979 after the band were dropped by their record label.
