Scuzzphut releases quick and easy beat creation plug-in for Windows users
Some drum modules –such as BFD2 and Addictive Drums – are designed for people who like to go deep with their rhythm programming, but if you want things a little faster and more furious (and, significantly, a whole lot cheaper) take a look at Scuzzphut’s Phatbeatz.
This PC-compatible VST plug-in is sample-based and offers ten slots for your sounds. Samples can be dragged and dropped directly into Phatbeatz from Explorer, and a 32-step sequencer enables you to build your grooves.
Also onboard are a pattern sequencer, kit browser, decay and tune controls for each sample and in-place previewing of samples and kits. There are three outputs, and effects can be applied to each of them.
Shipping with an exclusive library of kits, Phatbeatz is available now from the Scuzzphut website. A demo version can be downloaded, too.
