Winter NAMM 2008 sees Pearl announce a number of additions to its popular Vision line-up
Pearl Drums have announced a number of additions to its popular Vision line-up. Introducing the all-new Maple VMX and Birch VBX Series...
Vision Maple VMX
Available in nine configurations, the Maple VMX shell packs come standard with professional 2-ply heads and matching snare drum. The VMX comes with a list price of $1,599 and a choice of five high-gloss lacquer finishes.
Vision Birch VBX
Sticking with much the same formula as the VMX, the Birch VBX range is also available with a choice of five high-gloss finishes. The real difference here is the snare and hardware, with Pearl opting for a Steel SensiTone snare drum and Pearl's own award-winning 900 Series hardware.
A VBX kit costs $1,499.
Pearl continues its Vision overhaul with the announcement of the VSX and VX Birch Ply drumsets. Based on the original Vision formula, these kits feature blended birch ply shells with 6/8 shell technology.
Both sets arrive as standard with brushed steel SensiTone snares, 900 Series hardware, 6-ply rack toms and 8-ply floor toms, which all help to deliver what Pearl describes as a 'dynamically balanced sound'.
The VSX offers six exotic wrapped coverings and will set you back $1,399. The VX offers six more affordable solid color wrap options - three of which boast black drum hardware - for $1,249.
