Musikmesse 08: EZPlayer Pro gives you drum sampling flexibility

Mix and match your MIDI files and drum sounds
An expanded version of its EZPlayer Free software, Toontrack Music’s EZPlayer Pro is an intriguing drum-focused plug-in that could turn out to be very useful.
EZPlayer Pro is essentially a MIDI engine that enables you to bring together and organise all the drum and percussion MIDI files on your hard drive. You can use multiple files to create complete rhythm arrangements, and these can be previewed with the sounds from your favourite drum sampler.
Once you’re happy with an arrangement, you can drag it into the arrange window of your DAW.
EZPlayer Pro also includes map-wrappers – these enable you to use MIDI from one drum sampler with the sounds from another. Most of the popular drum modules are supported, including BFD, EZdrummer, Addictive Drums, Strike, Battery and Reason Drum Kits.
The software can be used as a VST, Audio Units or RTAS plug-in, or, when used in conjunction with Toontrack Solo and either EZdrummer or Superior Drummer, as a standalone drum workstation. It’ll ship as part of the forthcoming Superior Drummer 2.0 package, and is also available on its own priced at $49/€35/£25.
You can learn more about EZPlayer Pro at the Toontrack website.
