An exclusive video from Frankfurt
While MusicRadar were trawling the lengths of Frankfurt Musikmesse 2009, we bumped into a drum legend: Carmine Appice. Ex of Sixties rockers Vanilla Fudge, Appice's classical-meet-jazz-meets-rock stylings has lead him to work with everyone from Rod Stewart and Ozzy to Pink Floyd and The Nuge.
MusicRadar is an unabashed fan of the man - and as our exclusive interview shows, he reveals himself to be a lovely fella who can still rock with the best of them. Appice talks about Drumfest, his new ddrum limited edition signature kit and playing live at Musikmesse 2009.
Keep an eye on our dedicated blog for more videos, news and rock star liaisons from this year's Musikmesse.
