The Scorpions’ Uli Jon Roth is a wonderfully expressive and incredibly gifted guitarist. His playing on the band’s 1977 track Sails Of Charon (from the album Taken By Force) is one of the most influential ‘neo-classical’ tracks of all time.

So impressed was a young Yngwie J Malmsteen that he covered it on his own album, Inspiration.
