Future – the special interest publisher is getting involved in PPA Magazine Week, with a special day bringing magazines to life and celebrating all things guitar-based with an event at Borders, Charing Cross in London on Thursday 2nd October.

The expert team from Future’s music-making portfolio is offering people the chance to develop their existing skills, or even learn to play the guitar in just 10 minutes! With tuition on hand from professional guitarist and tutor Jonny Scaramanga, and Jason Sidwell, senior music Editor from Guitarist, it promises to be a rocking day.

Tutorials will be taking place from 12 noon – 7pm at the Borders store, with topics including ‘learn to play the guitar in 10 minutes’ and an exciting group task in which 15 participants are split into 3 groups, but come together to play a famous track using only 3 chords. Top guitar brands Gibson and Epiphone are also supporting the event by supplying guitars and amps for the day.

Editors from leading music magazines Total Guitar, Guitarist and Guitar Techniques will also be at the event, giving readers the chance to meet the writers of their favourite magazines.

PPA Magazine Week runs from 29th September – 5th October, and combines retail promotion, branding and magazines for a real chance to get involved, excite and educate the readers and prospective readers alike.
