Meet Guitarist: At Borders in Charing Cross today
2nd Oct 2008 | 09:12
A quick reminder that if you’re strolling around London today, plectrum in hand, and at a loss for what to do, you should make your way to the Borders store at Charing Cross for a special free tutorial event.
To celebrate PPA Magazine Week, staff from Guitarist, Total Guitar and Guitar Techniques will be on hand to offer beginners’ tutorials, advice about playing technique, heated discussions about vintage scratchplate width, revelations about pickup windings, and witty repartee. Mag editors Steven Lawson, Neville Marten and Mick Taylor will be there, along with pro guitarist Jonny Scaramanga and Jason Sidwell, senior music editor from Guitar Techniques magazine.
Tutorials take place between noon and 7pm, so come along. Gibson and Epiphone will be supplying guitars and amps for the day too.
