Nirvana’s 1991 masterpiece Nevermind has been transformed into a dance-based stage show by Seattle’s Spectrum Dance Theater. Due to premier this weekend (31 March – 1 April) at the city’s Moore Theatre, the show has been choreographed by Donald Byrd, who has worked on such prestigious projects as Broadway adaptations of the Alice Walker novel The Color Purple.
Plot details are vague at present, although two dancers are set to represent Cobain and Courtney Love, and according to the Seattle Times, some of the dance steps are inspired by the Los Angeles punk scene.
Which other classic albums would you like to see accompanied by interpretive dance?
