In a somewhat unexpected but retrospectively obvious move, Jim Dunlop has announced the EVH Signature wah to take its number of EVH stompboxes up to three. Look, there are no greater fans of EVH than us but we can’t help feeling that the cash cow is close to being milked dry: slapping a bunch of stripes onto any old thing does not make it an EVH signature model, especially a unit that has at best a tenuous connection with the artist in question.
What next; Steve Harris plectrums? The Angus Young multi-effects box?
